09 RAGBRAI - Clip Two - 1st Day

We try to locate a host family for our overnights and ask to sleep on their lawn. Little traffic and no hooting and hollering of the campgrounds is sure nice when you're tired. And there might be a garage available to put our bikes in if it rains. The only other need is a rest room and a shower. Ten hours on the road and one gets pretty ripe. Our Council Bluffs host cooked us breakfast. Wow, was that a thrill. Above and beyond the call of duty for sure. But then all of our hosts are more than gracious. It must be the Iowa thing.
