GO65TV Wish List
POV Video Camera - High Def
(no inferior Bloggies or Flip Video Cams allowed)
POV = Point of View   Better known as a helmet cam.  Cam + Acc. = Around $400 each.  One will do but need two.

Can be mounted anywhere.  In sports competition or recording the trail, handlebar, on-the-helmet or goggle mounted are the most useful.  2 on-board High Definition cameras giving a fore and aft view would be a great match-up editing-wise with normal shooting.  Quality and technology has greatly improved in the last few years.

Sony has a brand new model and I normally only buy Sony cameras.  The bad news is that they consider their new POV a professional camera, therefore the price is 8 times the more popular competition.  It is the only model that has everything desirable in a POV.   Ain't that just the way...   Yet the VholdR Contour brand is not too far a step down.  It is water resistant and has a much wider range of mounts and accessories.  It does have a few drawbacks but on the other hand, who said anything about Oscar night in Hollywood?
Needs are Small, besides Travel CostsThe Number of Miles & Events covered is directly related to financial viability.

GO65TV intends to go where the action is and create the best video clips: on the slopes, underwater, competitions, anywhere along the trail where there is an event or person of interest. It also intends to seriously upgrade equipment to include some new technology.  High end studio equipment is not required for web video.  The High Definition units highlighted here are Pro-sumer grade and higher.  Experts and advisors connected with this site graciously donate their talents, time and energy.
A small light weight  Sony HDR-HC9 is needed for interviews and panaramas.  This High Def camera is set on a monopod and gets shots overhead that normally would be missed, say a celeb in a crushing crowd, or a speaker not on a stage or pedestal.  A special mic is mounted on the hot shoe and you can catch good audio from a distance, too.  And it's a snap for sneaky  interviews.  It's so small that no one takes it seriously.  Yet if handled right, the video is as vivid as a camera ten times its cost.  $1,100 plus acc.
SONY HDR-FX1000
Mobile yet high-end shots.  More bling for interviews, tri-pod work, in-door shots, low light levels.  Would replace damaged camera.
