Most clients are using your talent to bring customers to their establishment, but are limited in their advertising methods.  Go to E-Mail Ad in the sample section and read the data concerning an Advertising DVD.  By placing your clip on a continuous looping DVD which advertises your performance dates and times, he can play the DVD on one of the TVs at his place of business for a week or so to lure his customers to return.
You will appear professional and  it will offer him something that until now would not fit his budget.

The first tip is one which I have seen work time and again with my own eyes.  Have a promo DVD made of your video.  Purchase headphones and a mobile DVD player, (Target sells them for $100 and over).  For cold calls at clubs or whatever, use these to demo your talent.  Immediately, the client knows if he wants you or not.  HE WILL LOVE YOU FOR IT.  You have not wasted his time, nor yours, either.  If you want to be more sophisticated, I carry an Archos 700 mobile DVR.  It has a 7” widescreen, and has been used to sell most of my projects.  It works wonders with headphones.
